Misty

Misty came to AHHR in July 2008. She was given up by her previous owner whom had fell on hard economic times, and was contemplating moving from the area. Misty originally was born in 2005 in Montgomery County, north of Philadelphia,  at a race horse breeding facility. When Misty was about a year old she suffered a horrifying accident and lost her left eye, assumed to have been a barb wire fence.  Shortly thereafter the owner of the facility passed on. Misty was given to one of her caretakers prior to coming to AHHR. Misty is 100% blinded to the one side. Misty requires special cautious handling due to her limited sight ability. She requires cautious moving about in the stable areas with the other horses as to prevent any injuries.   She will continue to require extra care for the rest of her life addressing her issues related to her missing one eye. Misty will continue to reside at AHHR where she is assured of the care she requires.
