Anyone can sponsor one of our permanent resident horses that are given sanctuary status. These horses usually require daily specialized care. Extra time is dedicated to these horses every day to make them as comfortable as possible. These horses usually exceed the normal costs of general care, as more visits from the veterinarian, specialized farrier services, special feeds, medications, daily supplements, and more are usually required.
When present residency accommodations for one reason or another don’t permit one to actually own, stable and provide daily care for a horse, sometimes the next best thing is to sponsor a full time resident horse at the rescue. To sponsor one of the horses at AHHR choose who you would like to sponsor. Please note: More than one person can sponsor the same horse as monthly care of each horse exceeds our monthly sponsor request. Sponsors can come spend some prescheduled visits with the horse. The photos of the sponsor with the sponsored horse are priceless.

Visit us at our annual November open house. AHHR does provide an annual open house on a Saturday in the first week of November every year. AHHR is a private secluded fenced and gated facility whereas we cannot accommodate any unscheduled visits. Our schedules change daily and all visits must be scheduled in advance.
